Message It does sound belt-ish to me.... I hope for your sake I'm right. Was the noise right after you made those changes or did it happen gradually/all of a sudden at some point?

The closest sound I can relate it to (if it's not the T-belt) is power steering cavitation so maybe your oil pump is on the fritz.... were you certain you got a good seal between the sump and the oil pump? Some years have a shaped metal gasket and others have a groove and rubber o-ring.
